5 Pet-Friendly Places to Visit in DC
Located directly across from Nats Park, Bardo Brewing is arguably one of the most pet friendly places around DC. This brewery allows pets to roam their 15,000 square foot outdoor area with, or without a leash (under the close supervision of their owners, of course).
For the non-four-legged visitors, Bardo has an exceptional selection of craft beer, quick bites, and entertainment. ‘Bar Dog,’ the owners pet, greets patrons and even maintains his own Twitter account which he uses to tweet weekly specials and events.
Art & Soul
Art and Soul is a treat for both the pups and art lovers. The restaurant features a delicious Southern-inspired menu that offers an enticing selection of modern cocktails and Southern cuisine. In addition to a mouthwatering breakfast, lunch and dinner menu for patrons, Art and Soul has a secondary menu for your favorite pooch that features options such as Peanut-Banana Pupsicles, and non-alcoholic doggy brew.
Jacob’s Coffee and Café
Jacob’s Coffee and Café is a local favorite for fur parents. The café serves a variety of espresso drinks and quick bites, however, Jacob’s is known for its comfortable atmosphere and pet-friendly patio. Patrons are welcome to use the free wi-fi and surf the web with their pups by their side.
Potomac River Boat Company Canine Cruise
Set sail with your four-legged-friend! The Potomac River Boat Company offers a dog-friendly sightseeing cruise around Alexandria’s Seaport. This 45-minute cruise is a great way to enjoy some gorgeous sights and spend time with your pooch. Dogs are welcome, but not required, and as a bonus, they ride for free!
Lincoln Park is one of the largest parks in Capitol Hill and offers a little something for everyone, including your fur babies. Though Lincoln Park is very pet-friendly, it is important to abide by the park rules and appropriately supervise and clean up after your dogs.
